Wall Unit Gondolas
The wall unit is similar to the gondola island in that it utilizes shelving attached to a sturdy central post. However, unlike the gondola island, the shelving is only placed on one side. As with the gondola row, you can join wall units together seamlessly to create one long display.
In most stores, one or more walls will be exposed for product display. (Other walls may be covered by customer service, refrigeration or freezer displays.)
Wall units should match the gondola units to create a consistent atmosphere throughout your store.

Gondola shelving is a metal shelving system with pegboard backing that is used with adjustable metal shelves. Common applications are supermarkets, auto parts stores, beauty stores, liquor stores, beer & wine stores, pawn shops, convenience stores, and many other retail stores.

End Cap Gondolas
There are several benefits to using end cap shelving in your store. End caps enable products to be display at the end of your rows.
Maximize Shelving Real Estate
In most retail stores space is limited and a valuable commodity. It can be difficult to find enough shelf space to place all of your products. Thankfully, end caps work to maximize the amount of shelving space in a store by offering a valuable addition to each row.
End caps are also useful for displaying special sales and promotions. Studies have shown that consumers are more likely to purchase items from an end cap than the row.
Move Products Faster
Another benefit to using a end cap is that it allows you to move products faster. For example, when a food product draws near its expiration date, you can use an end cap to help move it; therefore, you will waste less product and have a lower "shrink" rate.
A standard end cap is configured with a single sided section in a double sided configuration. The single sided section is placed against the end of an existing row. This configuration will provide additional strength and stability to your rows.
End caps come with everything needed for installation other than upper shelves.

About Us
Gondolashelvingstore.com is owned solely by Handling Equipment Corporation of Shreveport, LA. to provide an online presence for our line of Madix gondola and store fixtures.
Handling Equipment Corp. was started in 1976 when George Shipley bought Shelving Systems, Inc. of Shreveport, LA., changing the name to Handling Equipment. The company was at its original location on Jack Wells Blvd. in Shreveport until 1985 when we bought our current warehouse at 225 Aero Dr., Shreveport, LA. We started out selling rack, shelving, two wheelers, etc., anything for use in a warehouse that wasn’t self powered. Pallet rack and shelving was our bread and butter. Store fixtures was kind of a side issue for a long time. Over the years the business has turned 180 degrees with store fixtures and gondola now making up 80+% of our business.
We stock half a million dollars of Madix store fixtures. We fully stock 3 colors. Sahara Tan, Satin Black, and Dove Grey. We also stock some Snow White. Anything we don’t have, we can get from the two Madix plants in Terrell, TX and Goodwater, AL.
We are a family owned company, and with George’s passing in August 2017 we are now run by George’s step-son, David Killeen. I, David, have been in the business since 1992 and am more than ready to help you with the shelving needs of your store.
