The double-sided gondola (floor unit) is constructed of a central, heavy metal post that has shelves attached to both sides. The floor unit can be used as a standalone unit or can be connected with other double-sided units to create a long row.
This flexibility allows gondola shelving to be customize to your store.
Complete your display with an end cap
If you need more room for a particular merchandise display but don't need the room provided by another double-sided units, opt for an end cap instead. An end cap is placed at the end of a row to finish the display.
You can make good use of your wall space with single-sided units
The wall unit is similar to the gondola island in that it utilizes shelving attached to a sturdy central piece. However, unlike the gondola island, the shelving is only attached on one side instead of two. As with the floor units, you can join wall units together seamlessly to create one long row.

Construct your floor plan with gondola shelving by using its components (wall units, end caps, and floor units) to create aisles that look permanent. Shelves and Accessories
After completion of the gondola shelving layout with rows, wall units and end caps, the base units will need shelves installed to display product. Shelves come in a variety of sizes, widths, depth and have different strengths. Considerations for adding shelves include the height and weight of the products to be displayed. For example, shelves for 2-Liter bottles will bear more weight than shelves for paper plates and napkins.
